Your Grill Element is the one that is fitted to the top of the oven in the roof part. Normally reserved for making toast in our house but if you have a keen chef in your household you will have seen them using the grill for browning Shepperd's Pie and the like. The sheer nature of these Grill Elements means they are often prone to failure because they are exposed and when food gets burnt on to the tubular wire then that creates a hot spot causing the element to burn out. The outer sheath of the element starts to corrode and the heater wire gets exposed to other metal parts.
